We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented  Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in meat preparation, cutting, trimming, deboning, and grinding, as well as strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. The butcher will be responsible for preparing meat products to customer specifications, maintaining a clean work environment, and ensuring high-quality standards in all products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cut, trim, bone, tie, and grind meats such as beef, pork, poultry, and lamb.

  • Portion and prepare meat products according to customer requests or store needs.

  • Weigh, package, label, and price meat products for retail display or wholesale.

  • Maintain knowledge of different meat cuts and recommend appropriate selections to customers.

  • Ensure proper storage, rotation, and handling of meat products to maintain freshness and safety.

  • Operate knives, saws, grinders, and other butchering equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the work area, tools, and equipment.

  • Follow health, safety, and food handling regulations at all times.

  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and making recommendations.

  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving shipments.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience as a butcher or meat cutter (preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of meat cuts, preparation techniques, and food safety standards.

  • Ability to use knives, saws, slicers, and grinders safely and effectively.

  • Physical stamina to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to high product quality.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced, standing for long hours.

  • Exposure to cold storage environments.

  • Requires handling raw meat and operating sharp tools and machinery.
