Work Days: Monday - Friday, Saturday as needed for community events|
Hours of Operation: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Extended hours as needed for community events

Purpose of the Position: The Community Development Officer (CDO) position will beresponsible for bringing new small business relationships to the bank, maintainand grow existing small business relationships, sourcing and identifying communitydevelopment loans, investments and service opportunities within the Austin CRAAssessment Area.The CDO will be theperson assigned to meet with local nonprofit organizations, communitydevelopment agencies, community stakeholders, and school districts/universitiesto promote Broadway's CRA products, services, and community partnerships thatare beneficial to LMI individuals and help revitalize LMI communities.Additionally, the position will be responsible for sourcing, coordinating andtracking CRA eligible service hours and facilitating CRA service activities.
Key Accountabilities: - Work with Austin lending team and CRA Manager to originate CRA eligible small business loans.
- Present targeted Broadway Bank lending programs to community groups, small business incubators, chambers of commerce, etc.
- Develop and maintain a network of community partners, including CRA nonprofit organizations, affordable housing entities, CRA social service organizations, education organizations, and entrepreneurial training partners.
- Facilitate financial literacy sessions for LMI schools, non-profit organizations, senior citizen groups, small business incubators, chambers, and various community organizations.
- Document and submit CRA qualifying documentation for CD Service opportunities to CRA Manager.
- Facilitate, coordinate, and execute on CRA initiatives and activities in the Austin Assessment Area.
- Recommend best practices to support ongoing CRA activities in the region.
- Serve as a CRA representative to the bank's communities and organizations.
- Promote the creation and promulgation of strategic goals for all business units which have a significant impact on CRA performance.
Work Experience Requirements: - 5-7 years relevant work experience in small business lending, communitydevelopment/CRA, orothercompliance-related business experience.
Education Requirements: Other Qualifications: - Proficientin MS Word/MS Excel/MS Outlook/ MS PowerPoint
- Abilityto present with confidence in front of groups.
- Excellentverbal and written communication skills
- Strongdesire to work with small businesses and community organizations servinglow and moderate-income communities.
- Purposedriven, self-starter with initiative strong organizational skills.
- Abilityto represent Broadway Bank at various community functions during theworkday, after hours, and occasionally on the weekends.
