The purpose of this job is to safely weld in all position according to company specifications and standard work.

Job duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Follow documented procedures, standard work, routings, and blueprints to perform safe and defect free operations.

• Hand weld all plain and alloy structural steel in all positions.

• Use of jib or gantry crane to manually position weld equipment.

• Grind and dress fabricated weldments.

• May operate forklift, scissor lift and area lift to access weldments.

​ Required Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of FCAW and experience with 10+ multi-pass welds on heavy 2” plate.

• Experience with back gouging, carbon arcing or air arcing.

• Must pass 3 weld qualification tests using FCAW large diameter wire (3/32 and .052).

​ Additional Information:

• This position is located at the Caterpillar manufacturing facility located in South Milwaukee, WI.

• 2nd and 3rd shift available ( may be placed on any shift, dependent on business needs)

• Pay is Step 1 $32.07 Step 2 $33.26 Step 3 $34.44 hr plus an additional $1.00 shift premium for 2nd or 3rd Shift

• Full Time (40 hours, 5 days/week)

Summary Pay Range:

$28.54 - $35.67
