Experienced Welder Fabricator | $20.00 - $30.00/ hour based on experience | Sycamore and Dekalb locations | Day shift

Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to become an essential part of our production team. This individual should be comfortable working from detailed drawings and specifications, possess strong measurement and math abilities, and demonstrate solid mechanical aptitude. Precision, safety, and craftsmanship are key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding with accuracy and consistency.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to understand project requirements.
• Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to build and shape components to exact specifications.
• Assemble fabricated pieces and monitor quality throughout each stage of production.
• Safely operate cranes, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized work area.
• Work closely with team members to meet production goals while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on experience in fabrication or welding within a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Strong ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
• Skilled in MIG welding and familiar with plasma cutting procedures.
• Mechanical knowledge and the ability to accurately measure using tools such as tape measures, calipers, and angle finders.
• Understanding of ASME fabrication and welding standards is a plus.
• Able to identify and resolve issues during the fabrication process.
• Knowledge of rigging and related safety practices is preferred.
• Capable of working independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
• MUST HAVE OWN EQUIPMENT INCLUDING: Welding helmet, Tape Measure, Gloves, Angle Finer, Speed Squares and eye protection

Must be able to pass a blueprint reading and small Welding hands on test.

Salary based on experience $20.00-$30.00/ hour
