Job Description
Responsibilities: 1. User Support & IT Service Desk: - Provide support to computer users and assist with ICT systems operations and maintenance.
- Respond to IT Service Desk inquiries and take full ownership of the ticketing system.
- Monitor problem types and frequencies; recommend potential improvements.
- Provide time estimates and track/report time accurately.
2. Fault Diagnosis & Issue Resolution: - Diagnose and fix hardware/software configuration issues.
- Arrange repairs for faulty equipment.
- Help users maximize software functionality.
- Develop procedures to assist users effectively.
3. Routine Maintenance & Installation: - Install and maintain corporate computers, LAN hardware, telephones, and network equipment.
- Install and configure software applications and updates as needed.
- Maintain IT consumable stock and asset inventory.
- Develop and maintain in-house systems documentation.
4. Training & Documentation: - Educate staff on IT resource usage.
- Provide system orientations for new employees.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the organization’s software, procedures, and personnel.
5. Infrastructure Support: - Assist the Network and System Manager with infrastructure projects.
- Set up user accounts for network and application access.
- Implement backup and recovery procedures.
6. Compliance & Security: - Fulfill all duties under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and corporate OH&S policies.
- Ensure all activities comply with information security policies and procedures .
