LokTek, LLC, a division of Bunting Door & Hardware Co., is hiring a locksmith.

This is a career opportunity for individuals interested in showcasing and advancing their skills and knowledge of locksmithing while embracing the humility required for continuous improvement. While experience is preferred, we will train the right candidate.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Travel to customers locations in Baltimore, Washington DC, and/or Northern Virginia area to provide services such as:

-Installation, service, and maintenance of a variety of door hardware components and key systems.

-Establish, record, and track key systems while working at customer locations.

-Repair and/or repin cylinders of a variety of keyways.

-Cut new to specifications and/or duplicate keys from a range of manufacturers

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Evaluate, troubleshoot, and diagnose a variety of mechanical door hardware components.

• Operate and maintain key machines and other machinery as related to the locksmith trade.

• Proper handling of basic hand and power tools.

• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.

• Ability to work with others on a team.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.

• Familiarity of construction procedures a plus.

• Valid driver’s license.

Education and Experience:

• Experience with installation and/or service of commercial doors is preferred. We will train the right candidate.

• Manufacturer specific certifications should be noted at time of applying.

• Individuals with carpentry, electrical, or wiring experience are encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (or more at times.)

• Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
