Position: Mental Health Researcher
Location: Silver Spring, MD
Work Environment: Onsite
Clearance Required: Secret
Status: Contingent Upon Contract Award

Knowesis, a dynamic and forward-thinking company, is currently seeking an exceptional Mental Health Researcher to join our team and provide invaluable support to the Walter Reed ArmyInstitute ofResearch Military Psychiatry Branch.

To be eligible for this position, candidates must have a Secret clearance and possess U.S. Citizenship without the need for sponsorship, both now and in the future. Applicants without proof of U.S. Citizenship will not be considered due to the position's security clearance requirements.

The Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Conduct primary independent research in psychology/psychiatry, including:
  
  • Epidemiologic research
  • Survey research
  • Interventions research
• Perform literature reviews and provide written summaries based on the literature
• Construct and manage research databases
• Conduct surveys and interviews with research subjects
• Establish collaborations with other investigators
• Set up data collections
• Provide technical assistance in:
  
  • Database management
  • Statistical analyses
• Work independently on all aspects of the research
• Conduct complex statistical analyses at a professional level
• Ensure all research activities meet established timelines
• Travel as needed for:
  
  • Field data collections
  • Attending scientific meetings

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of 7 years experience in mental health research, including protocol development and data collection.
• Experience with IRB processes and securing research funding.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous work within the Department of Defense or similar military environments

Required Education:

• Doctorate in Behavioral Science, or a related field.
