Per Diem MD/DO- Corporate Wellness Exams

Location: Jersey City, NJ. Job Type: Per Diem, 1099 Independent Contractor. Pay Rate: $180/hr for onsite patient care, $140/hr for telemedicine lab review. Schedule: July 30 with potential for future weekday, day shift opportunities.

VitalCheck Wellness is seeking a physician, as an independent contractor, to provide onsite wellness checkups and participate in a structured multi-week treatment and coaching program for chronic metabolic diseases (i.e pre-diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obesity) designed to improve their wellness and lifestyle.

VitalCheck manages administrative logistics and facilitates scheduling, allowing clinicians to focus on patient care. This is an excellent opportunity to practice preventive and personalized medicine in a supportive, structured setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide general wellness checkups.
• Consult with patients to understand their health concerns.
• Advise/refer patients for follow-up care.
• Provide telemedicine services for lab review follow-ups.
• Provide chronic disease management to patients based on our program guideline.
• Educate patients around healthy eating and lifestyle.
• Prescribing chronic disease management medications.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree.
• Clean active license to practice in the state of New Jersey.
• Active BLS/ACLS certification required.
• Board certification in specialty.
• Minimum 3-5 years of work experience following post graduate training.
• Must be currently in-network with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) and independently contracted to provide services.
• Background in family practice and preventive care preferred.
• Background in urgent care or emergency care will be considered.
• Focused on preventive medicine and patient education.
• Proficient with computers, customer service-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Personal laptop or tablet required.
• Must be able to reliably commute throughout Jersey City, NJ.
• Physicians may provide services individually or through their professional corporation or authorized legal entity, subject to applicable licensure requirements.

VitalCheck Wellness partners with hospitals, independent medical practices and independent clinicians to bring preventive, primary and occupational carewellness exams, chronic-condition check-ups, vaccinationsdirectly to employers onsite or via telemedicine.
