This is a regional posting for multiple dealerships in the San Francisco Bay Area as needed.


The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of the automotive sales department. This role involves leading a team of sales representatives to achieve maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Develop the Sales Team: Recruit, train, and coach a high-performing sales team focused on delivering results and outstanding customer service.
  • Drive Sales Performance: Monitor key metrics, enforce effective sales processes, and implement strategies to exceed targets and improve efficiency.
  • Deliver a Premium Customer Experience: Foster a customer-first culture, resolve issues quickly, and ensure a positive experience throughout the buying journey.
  • Manage Inventory Effectively: Partner with purchasing to maintain optimal inventory levels, improve vehicle turn, and reduce aged stock.
  • Maximize Financial Results: Track department performance, control expenses, and execute strategies to grow revenue and profitability.
  • Stay Ahead of the Market: Monitor trends, analyze competition, and adjust sales strategies to capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain accurate records and ensure all processes meet legal and dealership standards.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrates a high "HQ" (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.
  • Experience : 3+ years of experience as an Automotive Sales Manager or 5+ years in an F&I or Floor Manager role.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of the automotive industry and sales processes.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Physical Requirements
  • Sitting: The majority of the workday is spent sitting at a desk, using a computer and phone.
  • Standing and Walking: There may be times when the sales manager needs to stand, walk around the dealership, or attend meetings.
  • Reaching and Bending: The manager may need to reach for files, supplies, or equipment.
  • Lifting: Occasionally, there might be a need to lift or move documents, supplies, or equipment.
