Job Description

Adams & Martin Group is seeking a Senior Legal Assistant Consultant in St. Louis, MO to support attorneys and paralegals in a dynamic legal environment. This role involves a wide range of administrative, organizational, and document-focused responsibilities critical to the smooth operation of the legal team.

Title: Senior Legal Assistant

Type: TEMPORARY - WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR PERMANENT HIRE

Location: Downtown, St. Louis (100% on-site)

Schedule: Monday - Friday; Standard hours of operation

Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00 per/hour (flexible upon experience)

Key Responsibilities:
Draft, revise, proofread, and finalize legal and business documents with high accuracy.

  • Handle printing, scanning, copying, and secure distribution.
  • Manage and organize files within the firm's document management system.
  • Finalize and file court documents in accordance with jurisdictional procedures.
  • Access and retrieve documents from State and Federal court systems as requested.
  • Manage internal and external communications, including email correspondence on behalf of attorneys and paralegals.
  • Ensure timely distribution and appropriate filing within document management systems.
  • Monitor and maintain calendars for assigned billable staff, coordinating meetings, court dates, and deadlines.
  • Provide scheduling support for internal and external engagements.
  • Review, edit, and finalize timekeeping entries for attorneys and paralegals.
  • Assist with billing processes by proofreading invoices and ensuring compliance with client billing guidelines and budgetary parameters.
  • Prepare and submit conflict checks, new business intake forms, and engagement letters in accordance with firm procedures.
  • Process expense reimbursements and assist with travel arrangements or related logistics when required.
  • Support special assignments or administrative projects based on team and business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office programs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of legal terms and process of cases
