 We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position where the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing operations in our food processing division. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient production of our food products, while adhering to the highest standards of food safety and quality. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be expected to utilize their expertise in PLC, HMI, P*IDs, USDA regulations, food safety, and Black Belt methodologies to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

 Responsibilities: 
-  Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes to meet business objectives. 
 -  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve manufacturing issues, ensuring the highest levels of product quality and safety. 
 -  Design and implement cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety, reliability, and throughput. 
 -  Apply knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials to improve production processes. 
 -  Utilize PLC, HMI, and P*IDs to monitor and control manufacturing systems and processes. 
 -  Adhere to and enforce all USDA regulations and food safety guidelines. 
 -  Utilize Black Belt methodologies to drive process improvements and reduce waste. 
 -  Provide technical expertise and training to manufacturing personnel. 
 -  Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials. 
 -  Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. 
 -  Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services, following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures, and requesting special services as needed. 
 
 Job Details 
 Qualifications: 
-  A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field is required. 
 -  5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role within the food processing industry. 
 -  Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, and P*IDs is required. 
 -  Familiarity with USDA regulations and a deep understanding of food safety principles. 
 -  Black Belt certification or equivalent experience with lean manufacturing methodologies. 
 -  Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. 
 -  Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills. 
 -  Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. 
 -  Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and CAD software. 
 -  Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously. 
 -  Must have a commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency. 
 -  Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 25 pounds.
