We’re not big on meetings-for-the-sake-of-meetings. At Berkley , we’re a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves kind of crew building real solutions in the packaging world—and we’re on the hunt for a Packaging Development Project Manager who thrives in that kind of environment.

At Berkley, we design, source/manufacture, and assemble all types of custom packaging and retail displays, shipping into major retailers—mainly Costco, Sam’s Club, and Walmart.

• Own communication and design direction across Sales, Creative, Production, and external vendors
• Drive programs from “cool idea” to “on-shelf success”
• Manage timelines and milestones like a boss
• Create and maintain a spec pack catalog to streamline design efficiency
• Develop production layouts, spec docs, and travelers to support smooth kickoffs and first article approvals
• Collaborate with internal/external designers and Technical Sales Directors on innovative packaging solutions
• Set and manage deadlines for Creative, Vendors, and Production to hit milestones without the drama
• Review and approve artwork before preflight, and oversee proof cycles from start to sign-off

• Thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment (you like when things move quickly)
• Take initiative—especially in ambiguous or rapidly changing situations
• Don’t need someone watching over your shoulder (we won’t be)
• Obsessed with problem-solving and love bringing ideas to life
• Must have experience working with big box retailers like Walmart or Costco—this is a non-negotiable.
• Calm under pressure and know how to get sh*t done on deadline
• Constantly asking, "How can we make this better?"

• BS in Packaging Engineering or related field (bonus points for Spartans)
• 5+ years of experience in Project Management and Packaging Development
• Strong understanding of manufacturing, materials, and design best practices
• Fluent in BOMs, spec sheets, and making complex things simple
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel included—yes, you’ll use formulas)
• Illustrator is second nature
• ArtiosCAD skills? We love that.
• Familiar with 3D tools like SolidWorks, KeyShot, 3D Studio Max? That’s 🔥
• Able to do basic math without a calculator (because sometimes we can't find ours either)

Technical Sales Director based in Poway, CA

Local travel as needed + quarterly domestic trips to customer/vendor plants

$85,000–$120,000 base salary, depending on experience
