Salary: Summer Internship for Department of Finance $18/hourly.

Position Summary 

The Finance Intern is a currently enrolled college or university student participating in a valuable learning experience within the City of Atlanta Department of Finance. The intern will rotate through two of the following offices: Controller, Revenue, Treasury, Debt & Investments, Enterprise Risk Management, and Budget & Fiscal Policy. Primary responsibilities include running financial reports, data entry, and undertaking special projects as assigned by finance staff. Given the learning nature of the position, assignments will be tailored to the incumbent's skills and interests.

•  Undertake assigned roles and accounting/finance projects within the internship timeline.

•  Take ownership of specified daily/weekly responsibilities.

•  Receive, review, route, and/or process various forms, requests, reports, files, records, and documents.

•  Execute special projects in finance/accounting and business administration based on skills and career interests.

•  Knowledge of records management, administrative and office practices, policies, and procedures.
