Job Description

All retired Police personnel are required to have a current New York State Security Guard License. If you do not have an OSHA certification for construction, you will be required to obtain it within 5 days of being hired.

Responsibilities :

• Respond to all incidents and conduct preliminary investigation.
• Prepare detailed Incident Reports.
• Act as the point of contact for the NYPD, FDNY, and other city agencies upon their arrival on site.
• Respond to all emergencies, fire alarms, criminal events, medical issues, and newsworthy incidents and provide direction while coordinating the responding emergency services response.

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

• 5 years of Law Enforcement experience is preferred

Skills Required

• Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
• Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
• Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
• High attention to detail

Other

• Must have access to reliable transportation.
• Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
• Submit timesheets and reports as required
• Carry out responsibilities in accordance with our policies and applicable City & State laws.
• Maintain a professional attitude with all interactions with clients, employees, and security officers.
• Must prepare written statements and investigations in a clear and concise manner.
• Investigate incidents and/or customer complaints and compile data for accurate reporting.
• Act as a liaison.
• Ability to write effective and concise reports in neat, legible handwriting is required.
