Lambert Hotels at our Days Inn & Suites Downtown Missoula-University is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of facilities and equipment. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Duties:

• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other facility components.
• Coordinate repair schedules to minimize disruption.
• Fabricate and weld components as necessary for repairs or improvements.
• Execute hotel painting tasks to maintain aesthetic quality.
• Able to work with drywall, flooring.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory management.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing guests and co workers promptly and professionally.
• Utilize logic for troubleshooting and repairs as needed.

Skills:

• Proficient in facilities maintenance with a strong understanding of basic repairs.
• Experience in working with others to achieve a common goal.
• Ability to perform various repair tasks with precision.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting issues.
• Knowledge of hotel plumbing, electrical, hot water tanks, HVAC units and TV channel repair.
• Ability to lift, move and carry 75lbs or more.
• Ability to operate a snow plow and shovel snow and ice in winter.
• Will work in a variety of temperatures and conditions both inside and outside.
• A proactive attitude towards maintaining safety standards in all tasks performed.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to show up on time at the beginning of your shift and be ready to work.
• May be required to work occasional overtime or evenings.
• Must be able to be reached in the event of an emergency.
• Must be able to communicate with other departments and employees.
• Clean background check required.
• Will need transportation to get to/from work.
• Should be honest and hard working and want to be part of a professional team.
